The Central Library of Malabar Christian College, Kozhikode, is the knowledge hub of the institution, dedicated to supporting teaching, learning, research, and lifelong learning. Established as part of the College’s rich academic legacy, which began in 1848 and attained collegiate status in 1909, the Library has grown alongside the institution to meet the evolving
information needs of its academic community.
Affiliated with the University of Calicut and forming part of a NAAC-accredited institution, the Library houses a rich collection of 46,000+ physical books and a wide range of print and electronic resources supporting the academic and research needs of all departments. The Library also offers the Multi-Disciplinary Course (MDC) in Library and Information Science under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), promoting information literacy
and library skills among undergraduate students.
To enhance access to knowledge, the Library provides a cloud based WebOPAC for seamless online catalogue access and maintains a DSpace based Institutional Repository, preserving and providing access to college magazines, previous years question papers, and other institutional scholarly resources. Through technology enabled, user centric services, research support, information literacy programmes, and innovative learning spaces, the Library remains committed to fostering academic excellence, research, and lifelong learningin an inclusive and collaborative environment.
