B.Voc. Organic Farming

The Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) in Organic Farming is a skill-oriented undergraduate programme designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical training in organic and sustainable agricultural practices. The programme focuses on developing skilled professionals capable of adopting environmentally responsible farming methods while contributing to safe, healthy, and sustainable food production. Students are trained in areas such as organic crop production, soil fertility management, composting, organic pest and disease management, seed selection, irrigation practices, post-harvest management, farm management, and agricultural entrepreneurship. Through practical sessions, field-based learning, demonstrations, and exposure to modern farming practices, the programme enables students to connect academic knowledge with real-world agricultural applications. The programme also encourages students to explore self-employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in organic farming, value-added agricultural products, and allied sectors.
