About Santhosh Shreevihar

Santhosh studied Systematic Entomology from the the lab of Prof. T.C. Narendran FASc, Department of Zoology, University of Calicut. He worked on taxonomy of parasitic wasps of Chalcidoidea and Chrysidoidea. He visited American Museum of Natural History, Portal during his studies. After doctoral studies, he worked in the TCNTAT, Calicut and Keystone Foundation, Kothagiri, TN as consultant entomologist. He joined MCC-Calicut as an Assistant Professor in July 2012.
He is currently the associate editor of Biosystematica and member of the editorial board of Halters. Reviewer of Oriental Insects. A member trustee of Prof. TC Narendran Trust for Animal Taxonomy, Calicut. (www.tcntrust.org).

Research Interest
Insect morphology, diversity, taxonomy, ecology and evolution. Priority is for the taxa with greater role in ecosystem services. His focal groups are parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera) especially Chalcidoidea & Chrysidoidea and insect pollinators, with special emphasis on revisionary systematics, insect-plant interactions, host -parasitoid relationships and biological control.
