Annual Report for the year 2014-2015
The Career Guidance Cell at Malabar Christian College functions under the direct control and directions of the Principal of the College. Dr. Premanand M E, Dept. of English was nominated by the Principal in September 2015 to guide students on Career development, growth and opportunities.
The objective of the cell is to identify the talents available among the students of the College and nurture and harness them further and offer guidance to choose a bright and right career.
The activities of the cell include collecting the database of the students and compiling them for use when needed. The Career Guidance Cell organizes seminars and meetings to encourage the students to plan their future. Above all, the main function of the cell is to invite reputed companies to the campus to conduct campus interviews and find suitable jobs for the skills available among the students.
Many companies, organizations and Universities visited Malabar Christian College and offered their services and training methodology so as to improve the gear up the students of Malabar Christian College.

Highlight of activities during 2014 – 2015
- Many companies were invited to present their profile.
- Scholar Support Programme initiated
- General English Classes to improve overall standards of students started.
- Malayala Manorama newspaper subscription as part of ‘vayanakalari’
The Placement cell also intends to invite Recruiting agencies, HR personnel, Institutional experts and support from Alumni. Training programme to acquaint the students with the high demand market areas and invoke industry institution linkages is also planned. In the present Kerala scenario, most of the students preferred to take up higher studies in their respective fields.
